MONEY TRANSFERS

CIBC’s Global Money Transfer (GMT) flows support one of the bank’s most widely used international services. I led the redesign of critical end-to-end money movement journeys across customer and advisor channels, focusing on clarity, operational alignment, and system-backed design logic.

First week on the project — eager to dive into CIBC’s Global Money Transfer ecosystem and understand how advisors and customers actually move money globally.

LEADING UX DESIGN

As the Lead UX/Product Designer, I owned:

  • End-to-end workflow redesign

  • Information architecture and interaction model

  • High-fidelity prototypes for enterprise alignment

  • Cross-functional workshops and stakeholder communication

  • Collaboration with fellow designers on related money movement experiences

  • Guiding product and engineering on UX requirements and flows

IN PERSON

PROCESS

I followed the Double Diamond framework — diverging to explore user needs and converging to define, develop, and deliver targeted solutions (very popular in the Consulting world).

It was once a week in person

Worked collaboratively with fellow designer to unify patterns across multiple money movement flows, ensuring consistency between GMT and related advisor experiences. This alignment reduced design debt and created a more predictable end-to-end experience.

MEETINGS WITH LEADERSHIP

Close to the project’s completion, I had a deeply insightful alignment session with Dinesh. His empathetic leadership and clarity of thought brought valuable perspective to our final decisions

COLLABORATION

Worked collaboratively with fellow designers to unify patterns across multiple money movement flows, ensuring consistency between GMT and related advisor experiences. This alignment reduced design debt and created a more predictable end-to-end experience
